Our Children's Department Welcomes Hector....
Hector Moves West.... to the West Regional Library that is.... Hector, our adorable pet gerbil, who became part of our library in 2011 after one of our lovely patrons, Trace C., donated him to the Argyle library where every one, big and small, loved him and I'm pretty sure misses him since he has now become part of our family at the West Regional library. Now our famous, spoiled and lovely little friend and his mommy Aracelis Diaz made a move to the childrens department at the West Library were once again he will become the center of attention.... Here is Hector....

Mice Eat Cookies???
For yesterdays' Stories for Young Children* we read A Dog's Life by Caroline Sherman and If You Give A Mouse A Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff. We also created our own mouse with our favorite cookie and glass of milk. Everyone loved their mouse so much that they decided to take them home. But if you would like to learn how to make your own this is where you'll find the instructions.
Hope to see you in one of our story times in the near future! ;o)
